What’s your history with goals? Metrics on this is that most people do not reach their goals.

So when it’s the beginning of the year, for example, and times to set Goals, we can pretty well expect the same results.
Little or none.

Bill Bartmann is a billionaire who was at one time a person living on the streets. He has been on the cover of countless magazines and has completely reinvented his life.

Now he dedicate his life to you! “What do yo mean,” you may be thinking.

Ever noticed when you have a business, you refer to incoming funds as revenue and outgoing as expenditures? Clean, neat, non emotional, just doing business, right?

Our personal finances are referred to quite differently. We say things like “I’m tapped out” or “I’m broke” or “wonder if I miss one month’s payment and hope it won’t affect my credit rating” or “will that check ever arrive?” Not very empowering or objective.

I learned several years ago in a Landmark Education 3 month seminar on Money, that if we refer to our own personal finances with objectivity and use the same words we use in business, it seems to work better. I know it doesn’t make me feel bad.

So Bartmann signed on as an esteemed faculty member (there are more than 60 now) and has filmed 4 fabulous short videos on the 10 steps to goal setting on iLearningGlobal.tv — which I watched twice last week. He suggests that instead of using the world Goal (which has for many a negative and non-winning connotation) to use the word PROMISE.

Pretty neat I thought. I relate to promises more warmly and I want to keep all my promises. I feel good when I do.

So it stands to reason if we choose the word Promise in lieu of Goal, we have a better chance all around of meeting them. Ready to give it a try?

In my business I often find people who get frustrated as they reach for their goals, and very often they end up doing nothing. It’s an escape route I’ve used myself. Works very well, actually.

Except for one thing. The frustration is in an area that means something to me. I have made a promise to myself (set a goal) and now I’m stuck.

There is actual valid dissatisfaction within frustration, but when collapsed together with the emotional (negative) charge of frustration, we don’t see that. We only ‘feel’ frustration. It doesn’t feel good so we shy away. Of course!

Here’s the trick to not allowing frustration to move you away from what you find important and to reveal the magic of this state of being.

Look inside the frustration for your valid dissatisfaction. That should keep you on course!

Edison was dissatisfied with the wax candle. He tried countless times to create the incandescent bulb and you know he had to be frustrated more than once. His commitment, however, held him fast to his task.

There were two things going on: one is the valid dissatisfaction with burning his fingers putting out the flame (or maybe the smoke or poor lighting) and the other was his sense of frustration.

The dissatisfaction has no emotional charge and is likely one reason why you are taking on this task in the first place. You see a need. The frustration has a negative charge.

When you distinguish the two things collapsed into one, you can then continue on course and give no credence to the frustration emotion, but to the healthy dissatisfaction which had to start the project in the first place!

Hop onboard the iLearningGlobal train – it’s the next Google, MySpace and YouTube!

Do you set intentions? If yes, you are one of 3 out of one hundred or so who do, and I acknowledge you, right here, right now, up front, with everyone listening! It’s a remarkable tool and it is easily learned, but don’t expect to get it in our school systems. This kind of personal development training is available if you begin to look for it.

When I set an intention, I have direction and can take on activities that move me in the direction of that intention (what I want to happen). Without intention, I wander rather aimlessly through lots of interesting events, but without direction.

Intention is having a clear picture in your mind (with all the bells and whistles, color, emotion and movement) of how something you planned will turn out. The more you think about it, the easier it is to recall. And when you recall it over and over again, it becomes comfortable (it might feel awkward the first time you do this). Repetition is the 1st Law of Learning.

When that intention is fulfilled, how do you feel? Masterful? Complete? Happy? Elated? Confident? And is feeling that way important? You bet it’s important. It is important to your wealth, health and happiness. It gives you LIFE!

The more you practice setting an intention and picturing it how you want it to go — you have the best chance of it happening just that way. And then intention setting becomes a habit — automatic behavior. You don’t have to think about it again.

When an intention is fulfilled, you have completed an act of manifestation — having things go the way you say they will go. Sharing that intention with others involved makes it even more probable that the outcome will be a perfect match to your intention.

Today I completed training a number of people in an eight week course on goal setting/achieving. These people have worked with me through a 10 week mastermind on Think and Grow Rich! and then this 8 week program almost right after. We’ve been working together almost 6 months.

My intention in all my work is to present information that raises people’s awareness and gives access to wealth, health and happiness (SUCCESS!). At the end of the last session, everyone shared what they got out of our studies together. When I heard the major inroads they had made for themselves in raising their awareness, I got very calm. I was complete. My intention had been met.

They got what they came for! Their intentions were fulfilled. Each had broken through the lower levels of mass awareness and now sit at the 4th level of awareness (there are 7). When they arrived they were hovering between the first and 2nd level of awareness.

My intention for this course matched their expectations. While this mastermind group moves forward toward living the lives they love, there will always be a tight connection between us as we moved up the ladder of awareness together — as one mind.

Picture each of them as tiny birds getting ready to take first flight from the nest and begin living their dreams. And can you see me shooing them out — to test their wings? That’s how it feels when you meet your intention. You are complete and ready for the next event, it’s intention and it’s fulfillment.

I manage my own life by operating in alignment with the Natural Laws of the Universe. It’s so much easier than swimming uphill or going against the Laws. It has taken me years to create habits that align with the Laws and years of study.

I know the Law of Reciprocity requires first we give great value, then we will be remunerated (not necessarily by those to whom we give). My natural pattern is to give great value first and I don’t expect a return, and I have complete Faith that I will be rewarded. That is a consistent happening in my life. I receive gifts in all sorts of ways, even with sometimes the reward being hidden.

I know someone who for many years has studied the Laws, the methods, taken lots of awareness raising courses and lessons and still doesn’t seem to ‘get it.’ This person is perplexed that they do not have riches. They have done all the studying and still no rewards. Still living paycheck to paycheck with all the keys to the kingdom available and known.

I give free 10 week Mastermind studies on Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich! They are in depth studies of Carnegie’s tired-and-true principles of success, with examples, assignments and everything one needs to gain a basic working knowledge of these principles. I also present at no charge to a meet up group presentations such as the 7 levels of awareness and Carnegie’s principles of success as well as the 7 Natural Laws of the Universe and have done this for more than 2 years.

The person in question attends everything available that is free.

Today they asked if they could take the free Mastermind again! Of course, my guided facilitation has attendees get the scope of my knowledge and skill and when I meet their expectations, most everyone continues study with a paying program. The program is designed with the Law of Reciprocity in mind. It displays my commitment to others and my credibility as a coach, motivator, and facilitator.

My response to this person was ‘No. Now it is time for you to move into a paying program. I recommend such and such program.’

What do YOU do (or say) when you give and give and give and bump into someone who is completely unaware that they live in poverty consciousness or mentality, who should have ‘gotten it’ by now, and who wants to take and take and take?

What happens when success is within reach and you can’t see it? Others can, but you can’t. They cannot see it for you. Only you can do that. It’s happening right now all over the world. Very few know because the Company is in gestation.

Google, Yahoo, YouTube, MicroSoft … welcome your new peer …

iLearningGlobal.tv.

Ahead of it’s time and first to the market, this service via internet is brewing up a storm!

How could iLearningGlobal.tv be matched with the big four, you might be thinking. Maybe you will swat the idea away like a pesky mosquito. Do you remember what you thought when you first heard of the big four? What if you could have gone back in time and invested in one of those companies? Would you do it? Of course you would. Anyone would.

How then do we know that this Company will impact the world to a similar degree of the big four?

For one thing, the Leadership and Faculty of iLearningGlobal.tv are each world class experts in their fields and Leaders in their own right.

Why would more than 50 respected and credible teachers worry about another Company? Likely most if not all of them have enough money to live out their days in luxury — regardless of their ages.

So the primary reason to collaborate is not making money.

What is it then? And why is that pertinent to how iLearningGlobal.tv will structurally change the way the world learns?

The purpose of this Company is a commitment to the success of others — to make others rich — millionaires in fact. The service is online, 24/7, streaming video of world class experts in a variety of fields, sharing fresh content in 7 minute bursts. Until now, only major television stations and Oprah have owned the technology. Now iLearningGlobal.tv is using it to positively impact the world.

The founders and faculty are proponents of the success of others. Before iLearningGlobal.tv, their audiences consisted primarily of seminar attendees, books and CD sales. Now they can impact the world by sharing their consummate expertise in a plethora of fields. Still thinking so what?

So here’s why the global commitment to excellence. The way we learn anything is through spaced repetitive exposure to something. Remember your times tables? Remember when they tried ‘new math’ and went right back to memorization? I still remember them all.

Our belief systems and perceptions are instilled by repetition of material in spaced increments at an age when we can only accept the material provided. We hear things so often we believe them, whether they are true or not. They live like the truth for us.

It is important to note that it doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative material being absorbed.

There are segments of our society that are violent. What if they were not? What if they had a healthy self image? What if they watched a 7 minute video by Bob Proctor about goal etting over their cereal each morning? Or listened to Sandy Botkin and found that home based businesses have some special tax breaks and your mom sells Mary Kay.

Our schools don’t teach decision making, goal setting or any real thinking. In fact our schools stifle our imagination (where all ideas come from) — remember, “Leslie, stop daydreaming and pay attention to the lesson?”

Can you imagine a world where teachers had access to this information for their own development? Attitude is a mix of what we think, what we feel and what we do. Imagine the ebullient attitudes of people who are exposed to material that raises their awareness?

iLearningGlobal.tv when viewed consistently will actually impress the positive messages upon our subconscious minds. Then we begin to have new beliefs on which to draw. Ones that are positive and ones we choose.

So here stands success at your doorway. For less than a cup of coffee every day, access to material from incredibly successful people in a variety of fields is at your fingertips, in high definition, streaming video, expanding to any size screen and adding fresh content daily.

The opportunity to refer others to a technology company whose infrastructure is based on giving great value and having people live their dreams by showing the way, is your success if you want it.

Find your local iLearningGlobal.tv representative, register yourself, and step on the rocket that will shift the world as we know it. Check it out for yourself.

Will you take a chance? Or will you watch the rocket zoom by you (which it do) leaving you as you were before?

Oh, yes, are we ever grateful at Thanksgiving time! It’s the appointed time and day, embraced by our nation and our families. We gather together with all the wonderful concoctions we can imagine, marvel at the beautiful spread, hold hands and give thanks. We really are grateful! This is my 37th year of having Thanksgiving in my home. Our tradition is to go around the table, each person sharing what they are thankful for. Sounds like a nice scene, doesn’t it?

There is something, however, most of us fail to remember during the other 364 days of the year. Gratitude is a daily prayer for successful people. Better said, success comes to those who are grateful every day, for every thing. Even the things we call bad – there is always, according to Law, the flip side, or the opposite. You’ve heard the old expressions: behind every cloud there is a silver lining and when one door closes, another opens, right? We have heard these truths likely throughout our lives, from multiple sources, yet we do not believe them, well all accept the 3% who are head down in study to continue raising their level of awareness or consciousness.

For those who have absolute Faith that an idea or a goal, once thought of and envisioned, is a real thing (as a man thinketh, so does he become) and, if nurtured properly, according to natural law, know it must come to fruition!

The next time you get a great idea, give thanks for it in the moment, as though it has already come to pass — because without considering our creation of time — it actually has!

Almost every moment of every day I am exuberant with high vibrating, ebullient energy.

Attitude nearly always tip top, knowing that the mix must include positive thoughts, deeply endearing feelings and satiating results, I ride the light of day with wind beneath my wings.

Oh but could I convey to you this feeling, so easily yours as it is now mine. Access is right at our fingertips and in your view. Why haven’t we all discovered the magic of living?

Always until now I thought the magic was for others, not me. Now I know that if there is one doctor, then I can be one. If there is one author, then I can be one too. The energy flowing through that doctor and that author is the same energy that flows through me. The energy holds all ideas available in the universe and can neither be created nor destroyed. It is in all places at all times in equal amounts.

That energy flows from form, through form, and then back into form again. I can now capture the rich oneness of spirit on its journey through me. It plants a spiritual seed in my imagination. I am grateful, as the seed is an idea, and it is about to use me.

The idea grows like any other living thing – it has a different form – it grows in the image I hold of it on the screen of my mind, to the exclusion of all else. Fruition is a given, provided there is a nurturing environment. I fall in love with the idea, adding a nourishing emotion. Most of all I have faith. A knowing — that once the seed is planted, it is already manifested. It is Law.

I now trade all the days of my life to share this process with anyone who has the bravado to step out from the crowd and step into the magic, fearlessly.

From www.triangleb2b.com, Leadership in the Workplace series by Leslie Flowers, LSC

Perception: Simply stated, perception is our personal view of the world. No two people share the same point of view. All points of view are accurate for each of us. Leaders do not expect others to adopt their point of view and vice versa.

Scenario: Weeks ago the deadline was set for submission of the corporate quarterly sales report to upper management. It’s due 3 pm today. Your assistant, who does the compilation of preliminary statistics each quarter, was aware of the deadline when it was set. It’s now 1 pm and your assistant comes to you and says, “I can’t make the deadline. Sorry, boss.”

Reaction: If you succumb to reaction, you are angry. You gave your word to upper management. She is wrong. She should have told you earlier so you could make other arrangements. She could have asked for help from others in the office. Your perception says “this is unacceptable performance. The impact is that I cannot keep my word and meet the deadline.”

Response: Leaders know to respond instead of reacting, and then shut down their point of view to control their attitude (thoughts, feelings, actions). In this example, leaders would invite the assistant into a conversation and determine what still needs to be done to meet the impending deadline. Together a game plan could be developed and the deadline met. If that was still not possible in the timeframe, a new completion date/time could be determined and new commitment for completion provided.

The Lesson:
1) Leaders know that pointing the finger is counterproductive.
2) Leaders know that making someone ‘wrong’ does not further the conversation, does not solve the issue at hand, and disempowers the assistant.
3) Leaders are focused on completing the assignment, no matter what it takes.
4) A Leader will have a conversation after meeting the deadline with the assistant, sharing the impact of giving late notice and determine how to avoid a repeat performance.
5) Leaders respond instead of reacting.
6) Leaders partner with their team to find solution.

Over the last few months, I pretty much ignored any conversation or broadcast about the elections (not counting Palin spoofs). While driving home today, however, through the color-splashed autumn streets of nice little Apex, North Carolina, the impact of yesterday’s election results landed like a nugget in the pit of my stomach. When that happens I become instantly aware of my oneness with all things and my direct access to Infinite Intelligence.

Flashback to November 22, 1963, I am sitting in Miss Sniveley’s German II class at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto, California, when the wall-mounted PA crackles, letting us know … here comes just one more announcement. Eyes roll. In one moment, Ms. Sniveley clasps her hand over her capital O-shaped mouth as we learn that John Kennedy was shot in Texas. The world stopped for everyone. Kennedy was loved and respected by so many, for his stand for our country.

Chug along to the mid 60’s when I first registered to vote in the Peace and Freedom Party while attending San Francisco State. Shortly thereafter we move on to the watching the National Guard line the campus rooftops, brandishing rifles, as Peace-niks expressed their burning desires through demonstration. Caught in the crowd, regardless of point of view, no one is an innocent bystander. Reagan was Governor then and S.I. (Samuel Ichiye) Hayakawa was college president.

In 1967 my dream was to live in San Francisco, travel to Asia, and drive a sportscar. I signed on with Saturn Airways (charter airline) in Oakland and then I made half a dozen 10 day trips, bringing troops into and out of Viet Nam, spending time in Hawaii, Philippines, and Japan. I got my 1960 TR3 convertible and lived at the corner of Castro and Clipper, just below Twin Peaks.

Then we put a man on the moon. Oakland and Altamont. New York and Woodstock.

Now I am witness to another first — an African American president. While I did not allow political talk and broadcasts to deter my focused life’s purpose, I stopped for a moment today to express my gratitude for the absolute wonder of Life. We all have this for ourselves. We just have to think about it.
