Reaching Goals … No Excitement Here

Wanted to catch your eye on this one.

As I tick off goal after goal after goal as ‘complete,’ many people have asked if I’m excited or how I feel?

Really, I feel no different than any other day.

The process required to achieve a goal takes time and diligence. Overcoming the ‘bumps in the road’ and reaching mini-milestones is the ‘journey.’ You’ve heard “it’s the journey, not the outcome” I’m sure.

I finally get what is meant by that statement.

The purpose of a goal is to have us grow in conscious awareness as we jump those hurdles, large and small. When we increase our awareness, we become a ‘match’ for the goal we are after. We are ‘ready’ for it, if you will.

Take lottery winners for example. They have not jumped the hurdles, done the work nor paid the price for those winnings and are not aware of how to manage themselves or great volumes of money. The result in so many cases is bankruptcy and occasional suicide.

I simply keep my head down, stay focused and always ask ‘will this activity take me toward my goal?’ If yes, I move. If not, I do not.

When people and events begin to ‘show up’ that align with fulfilling the goal, I simply smile and keep on trucking. I am acutely aware that when we are very focused and persistent and patient, everything we need shows up in our path to help us reach our goals. [It's already there of course, but now I'm aware of it!]

I always thought it was ‘reaching the goal and getting the thing I wanted.’

Now I know it’s the growth required to be a match to the big things I want that has me simply smile as I check off one more dream come true.

Yesterday it was the culmination of 5 years of dreaming and visualizing a home on a lake (view from all rooms). Inked the deal at ridiculously low fixed mortgage rate and $100k off last year’s pricing.

‘Beyond the Secret’ Releases April

What in the world?? Several years ago The Secret dvd was released on the internet and to date has sold 7 million copies! What happened? It was never in a movie theater and certainly is not mainstream material. 7 Million sounds like a virus. Could it be there is a real shift in conscious awareness on Earth? I say yes — and it’s about time!

The Secret is no secret, really. It never has been. Since recorded history (some 6000 years) it has always been written that ‘as a man thinks, so does he become.’ But what does that mean? How does it work? Does a person have to be a philosopher or a metaphysician or alchemist to understand? No.

So that movie simply let the cat-out-of-the-bag — you can be, do and have whatever you want (without violating the rights of others). Why do I say that? The Secret is about aligning ourselves with the natural laws of the universe. Gravity is one. I don’t have to tell you that if you drop a pen, it will hit the table. We don’t jump off buildings because we know we will splat like a raw egg.

Well, there are other Laws of which people are simply unaware. Gaining awareness of those Laws (which work all the time and every time) has us able to align ourselves with the real magic of this life.

Now we know a bit about the Law of Attraction (a subset of the Law of Motion) from The Secret and … it wasn’t enough! Here comes the cavalry — right when we need them!

The much awaited and celebrated film, Beyond the Secret is due to release this month.

Reasons to Take On Any New Venture

Whenever any one of us has an opportunity to invest in ourselves or a new business, per industry leaders, we need to consider reviewing five important points before moving forward.

Goals, purpose — just found out about them in the last few years! Oh, I had them, but they weren’t understood, articulated, or distinguished by me. So it was hit or miss throughout my life.

Completing 5 Mastermind Studies in 2009

Oooooh! Who said I could take on facilitating 5, 8-week mastermind studies concurrently on Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich?

I SAID. All classes were perfectly aligned at the beginning … and then the UNEXPECTED!

Staying on top of all these studies in addition to facilitating 2 Goal Achiever Seminar (Bob Proctor ) studies along with my full time job has been quite the challenge.

I will say that although at times this challenge felt insurmountable, looking back now, as each session came to completion, I saw it wasn’t as hard as I thought and my own awareness grows.

We are never given an idea that we cannot bring to fruition! Those ideas, by the way, are GIVEN to us via intuition by God. Some prefer to use the term Infinite Intelligence; some say Spirit; some say Buddha — makes no difference — there is only one universal force that provides us with ideas as spiritual seeds.

March is the month I designed as MINE for personal development. I know that I should spend 10% of my annual income on my own training — so I am doing that.

I completed 3 days with likely the greatest platform speaking coach in the world — Steve Siebold who conducts the Gove Siebold Workshop. Bill Gove is known as the Father of Public Speaking. If I am a world class top 10 speaker, I must be trained by a world class top 10 speaker, right?

As well I just spent 4 days in Las Vegas to participate in the international launch of iLearningGlobal.tv, THE structural change in how human beings learn. There I trained with THE greatest minds on our planet. Brian Tracy, Bill Bartmann, Mary Manin Morrissey, BNI founder Ivan Misner, Paul Martinelli — too many to count!

Home now to close on my dream home in April for which I wielded the powerful Law of Attraction starting 5 years ago. 5 Years you say? Isn’t that a long time to want something? Perhaps it is, however, the powerful Law of Gender (every seed has a gestation or incubation period) was designed by God and I don’t get to say how long things take. I just need to have FAITH in the Natural Laws of the Universe.

I do.

Best of Times — Worst of Times — It Really is OUR Choice

I am certainly aware of opinions around the state of our economy. There are blogs about how great it is and blogs about how bad it is. It’s on the news, online and on the lips of everyone I meet on a day to day basis. Some folks are ‘down’ and others are ‘up.’

How can people be thinking one way and others think the exact opposite about the same situation?
For those who say it’s a great economy — do they know something that the others don’t? Are they kidding themselves?

For those who see a poor economy — can you see ways that it could be good or are you completely immersed and living inside the poor economy mindset?

We really do have a choice in all of this. Because you may not see this right now, does not mean there is anything wrong.

Many are taking this time in their lives for self reflection to have a fresh look at their path, their purpose, their passion.Likely they have been spending most of the time working all their adult lives to generate revenue! Of course!

Many are preparing to go right back into the field they were in, perhaps being unaware that the business model we grew up with (education, job, longevity, move up, retire) as we know it has already changed.

Using My Own WORK

It always seems to me that it’s easier to see the greatness in another, than to see it in myself.
It always seems easier to see where another is going or see a problem they are creating, rather than see any of that in myself.

I can ask you probing questions that have you get the answer for yourself. As a coach, I can’t seem to do it for myself.

“Coach, heal thyself” … doesn’t work!

So I have a coaching partner. Every Sunday we spend from 8-10:30 am coaching one another. It’s great practice using the TOGOROW coaching method (mentored by coach Christian Simpson — star of Beyond the Secret) and I actually have breakthroughs for myself!

Everything in my life is going brilliantly … and then I begin to worry about my first paying public Seminar (Mind Bail-Out) on Jan 31. Here’s what came up for me:

What if only 5 people attend — I will surely ‘look bad;’
People aren’t ready to raise their awareness;
People are too busy with every day life to come to my seminar;
People don’t take care of themselves with self development, so they will absolutely spend $100 on a dinner for two, but absolutely would not spend $99 on a seminar to improve themselves;
People don’t like me;
People might see my work as ‘out there’ and are afraid;
People might have some concern about my doing the seminar with an African-American man as my teaching partner; and
I’m not well prepared

We turned each of these concerns (worries, fears) into scrubbing bubble monsters.
We distinguished that none of the above things are true at all — and diffused them one at a time so all that is left is a non-emotionally-charged soap holder.

Using the Law of Polarity (for every up there has to be a down), here are my affirmations I created from my concerns, and all of them are TRUE!

People are naturally curious

Now I’ve got my affirmations written and recorded and I am ready to TAKE ON THE WORLD !!!

Are You Ready for the Worldwide Shift in Awareness?

Tough times for so many. I get it. “Easy for you to say,” you may be thinking. I’m not hungry. I’m not cold. I worry about almost nothing. I’ve got my health, children, grandchildren, and more. I am grateful.

When opportunity shows up, it often is hidden behind tragedy or discomfort. If you look back at when you lost a job or a home, in each case when it’s over and we have some distance from the experience, we do find something good there. It takes time, I know.

People around the world are really actively seeking growth in awareness through understanding which comes from study. This shift in awareness will allow each of us to remove the word fear from our lips and thoughts and replace it with faith. Will you recognize it when it knocks on your door?

Last night I attended a 2 hour live national broadcast (200 theaters) panel discussion with the stars of the follow up to The Secret which spread worldwide like a virus almost three years ago. People’s lives were changed by the information in that movie. I know mine was transformed significantly. Was it new information. Heck no! It’s been around since recorded history (6k years), but people are beginning to think like they’ve never thought before. And they are ready!

Beyond the Secret will be released in April and it contains practical everyday understanding and application of the Law of Attraction to have what you want in your life. Lots of folks have tried to work the Law, but many without success. This film fills in the missing answers. One sound idea was developed by fellow LifeSuccess consultant, Holli Walker who used the principles taught by Bob Proctor and Paul Martinelli’s teachings to reach her dream. Due to my own precise vision of working with and being mentored by world masters in self development, I moved quickly, regardless of my circumstances and became a business partner with Bob Proctor and Paul Martinelli. I never thought I could run with the big dogs. I always thought ‘I’m not smart enough,’ or ‘it’s for someone else, but not ME!” “Mostly I thought I was really all alone.”

One interesting quote from the panel discussion directed that we should keep ourselves around people who are great! Find someone you respect and who knows more about your subject of interest than you do, and ask them to be your mentor.

If you’ve played chess, you know that once you consistently beat the person who taught you, it’s time to get someone better. That is how we grow.

Here’s the question. Do you want the answers? Are you ready to grow? Are you willing to take a risk, step out, and really reach for what you wish to BE, Do and Have? Or are you happy where you are?

You know, either way is perfect. We each grow in our own time and reach higher levels of awareness when we are ready. I encourage people to start thinking for themselves. Turn off the t.v. and the negative subjective news. Yes there are some facts, but they are not the largest part of what we hear.

What we think about we become. Even if negative things are within earshot and we are not consciously listening, our subconscious mind picks them up. If we hear them enough times, they penetrate into our subconscious mind (where habits and beliefs live) and we begin to actually believe these things. The subconscious does not distinguish between what is real and not real. Everything is real to our subconscious minds.

I am thrilled with how many people are attending Think and Grow Rich! masterminds all over our country, and all over the world. Why is this happening? Why now instead of later or before?

The only thing we as human beings have control over is our thoughts. More and more people are finally ready to be the fullest and most beautiful expression of God. We are supposed to flourish and grow!
